O'briens - Dublin Road, Ratoath

Today was probably my last day going to O'Brien for coffee. I asked soy milk, fair enough, they said they don't have I chose coconut, I am getting charged €1 extra, it doesn't make sense to me but it is was it is. They start making my chai latte, as far as I understand coconut milk wasn't enough and they poured skimmed milk in the jug and steamed and end up in my cup. I wasn't in the mood to make a scene, I said to my self coconut is strong enough I will not understand the diff, unfortunately I did and my chai end up in the bin (completely my fault that I didn't mention it earlier to these girls). Anyways my point is if any of you pay this overpriced plant based milk and have any allergy, please make sure that they don't mix it with regular milk. Service: Take out Meal type: Other

Asked for a buttered toasted bagel for my 5 year old and a turkey melt bagel for me. They gave me an unbuttered toasted bagel, and a turkey melt which had been microwaved. The cheese hadn’t cooled down after 15 mins so brought the whole lot back. Got a nice buttered toasted bagel. The turkey melt had now been drowned in mayonnaise, wiped off what I could but still inedible. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's always a treat to stop off for a quick bite in O'Brien's Charlestown. Since the renovations earlier in the year it's looking very well and it's nice to see that they've taken on some of the menu from the Bagel Factory (their recently closed competitor). With such a wide menu I opted to try one of the Christmas specials, a Crispmas toasted Sandwich which was different but tasty. For me I found it a little bit too sweet but this to be expected with cranberry sauce. Mam tried the Christmas toasted Christmas wrap which she enjoyed.
