Chez Max - Dublin

Chez Max We sat outside this lovely French restaurant on a warm September evening. Soup and steak were lovely, with the Crème Brulee finishing off a great dinner. Coffee was very good. Staff were very good, pleasant and helpful. Lovely location. We sat at a table outside the door and next to the entrance to Dublin Castle. Will be dropping by again, maybe for lunch. The menu looks good.

Had an amazing meal here everything was delicious and presentation was amazing. Great menu choices and wines were also good seating is outside as well as inside overall amazing experience.

Central location, friendly and smiling service. French cuisine (almost), cost appropriate for Dublin. Certainly a positive experience if you want to avoid the usual pub food

Authentic French cuisine and ambience and very helpful and attentive staff. The French onion soup was a flavour bomb and the moules and frites were fantastic

In fairness I reviewed an excellent Boeuf Bourgignon here a year ago. This time the dish so described was a tepid (eventually cold) plate of beef stew whose acquaintance with wine may have been a passing glance. Disappointing. Staff excellent position on a sunbathed day hard to beat. My wife's salad reported as excellent: she by the by makes a better version of this French Classic. Buck up yer ideas mes enfants.
