White Cliffs Tandoori - Dover

Best Indian in dover in my opinion, ordered for my family tonight before we go out for NYE festivities food was delicious and all plates emptied which is always a good sign, delivery was supposed to be around 6pm and actually turned up 5.45 another plus in my eyes, we look forward to our next visit/ take away and it will be soon.

Having had a meal a while back, see my earlier review that was very disappointing I gave them a second chance ! Waited an hour and forty min for delivery after I phoned again to enquire where food was. If delivery is more than one hour customers should be advised. When I placed order I explained last meal did not meet expectations. Unfortunately this fell on deaf ears. Meal was not only late but disappointing alround. The rice was not pilau see photos. I had to toast the nan bread. I could go on but I can't be bothered. I further withdraw all my previous highly recommended reviews of this establishment.

I went to this restaurant tonight for a sit-down meal and was impressed by the clean decor and well-lit atmosphere. The young lady who served us was extremely polite and helpful, a credit to both the takeaway and the restaurant. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. I have no complaints whatsoever and would highly recommend this place.

I ordered food at 5:32 pm, just 2 minutes after the restaurant opened. I was told it would take 30 to 40 minutes for delivery. However, the food did not arrive until 7:15 pm, which was 103 minutes after I placed my order. This was an hour longer than the quoted time, and had I known, I could have gone somewhere else. The food was lukewarm and I had to microwave it. If I wanted a microwave meal, I would have gone to Tesco. I called the restaurant twice to inquire about my meal. Once reheated, the food was great. While I have left many positive reviews for this place in the past, it is only fair to provide a balanced review when necessary.

I have been using WCTR for the past 11 years, whether for takeout or dining in, and it has always been a great experience. The "banquet" night on Tuesdays is very affordable, and overall the prices are still lower compared to other restaurants in the area. We have seen various front of house staff over the years, but the owners always make you feel welcome. It's like a home away from home. We've even brought visitors from the US and India to dine here, and if they can impress someone from Mumbai, then they must be doing something right!
