The Peterboro - Detroit

Listen...run, don't walk to get the O.G. Earthly Branch. It is literally one of the best cocktails I've ever had, expertly crafted by Syd. Coming in for their Golden Hour and getting it for $6 is an added plus. The cheeseburger egg rolls were also noteworthy and delicious. Yum!

Not only is the food so delicious here, the service and friendly demeanor we experienced made our experience so much better. Staff members went out of their way to say hello and were so polite. The atmosphere is also beautiful. Highly recommend! Our table ordered the sesame chicken, almond chicken, bao buns, pork dumplings, and the spare ribs. We each tried everything and everyone loved it! Can’t wait to come back! PS the sauce on the bao buns makes for a great dipping sauce for the waffle fries!

You to be our top 5 fav resturant even with pervious owners service is always top notced even when we do not have a reservation. Today my husband had to drive straight to the hospital and spend the whole night at the ER for our Friday Date night. Even with me telling my allery to our server I receive my food after consuming almost more than 1/2 off it did I realize my food has seaseme seeds all over it. After me telling my server what happend she took the plate said sorry came back and asked if we want to cash out. Then I mentioned to her the dessert that we ordred was not served. She stated she forgot to put it in and came back with it. At this piont I knew that I was going to spend my night in missery and hurried up to eat the dessert I ordered. We paid for the bill in full and tipped her genegously for an amazing Date Night that with my husband after the hard days work at the hospital back to the hospital. Thank you soo much we will miss you guys and your amazing food. Thank you to the person that prep my food without looking at food allergies of customers. I hope that this never happend to anyone ever. If someone asked for food recommendations in Detroit I will for sure let them know that Peterbro might not be a good options if you have dietery restrictions.

Something devastating happened with this place. I mean the vibe is the same service is excellent, BUT... We pretty much ordered the same dishes as we did last time like some 1.5 years ago and it was just terrible. The crispy eggplant was completely tasteles and the chow fun noodles were a complete disaster as well. The mushroom dumplings were ok, but nothing to write home about, the same for spare ribs which got almost completely americanized, waffle fries??? really??? . All in all: this was a proper chinese well kinda place with a bit of a soul and lottle twists. Now it's an american restaurant with below average kitchen. Sad : A few hints to the kitchen: just be advenuorus with the spices, more garlic, more ginger, five spice, anything... I mean I'm nut a pro, but the current result is just blunt.

Plenty of clearly marked vegan options. We got the sesame tofu and crispy eggplant which were both delicious. The eggplant wasn’t really crispy, the sauce was hitting on both. Was excited for the mushroom dumplings but they tasted like dirt ?
