Roasting Plant - Detroit

I came here on a recommendation while on vacation, partly because of the novelty, but looking for a good coffee roaster in Detroit. The Javabot is very cool, and it is nice to have a large selection of coffees to choose from. They list origin, processing method, and tasting notes of each coffee, and you get to watch it fly over your head to the machine that brews it after you've placed your order. The atmosphere of this place is unlike any other coffee shop, and it is a bit complicated placing an order. I'm sure you could get used to it after a couple of times. I would love to know more about how the coffee is made with the machine it tasted great, and there was crema (or what appeared to be that) on top, which isn't something I've seen for black coffee before. I would definitely recommend you stop in and try this place!

Intoxicating smell greets you at the door! Friendly, knowledgeable staff in a unique space. Many varieties of coffee are housed in tubes , waiting to be purchased after having a great cup inside the store

Drove down to Detroit from Mount Pleasant to explore. Came across this little coffee shop. Friendly staff, amazing atmosphere, and great coffee.

Best coffee place I've ever been. You get the coffee almost directly from the roaster via tubes to the grinder; never seen that anywhere before. Highly recommended place!
