Bidrage med feedbackStopped by Friday May 26, 2017 about 1:15pm just before the Memorial weekend. Not crowded at all, maybe 6 people. Ordered the Greek salad and vegetarian pizza (14' about $12). Very inexpensive. Looks definitely like a NYC pizza place. No frills basic place seats about 35 to 40 people. Even the bench seats are very worn. Well made pizza, Pizza crust is crispy crunchy, thin style pizza. Many pizza places have a very doughy, chewy, sometimes rubbery bite and texture. Not this place, it really is NY style. Bite into the crust and you can hear the crunch and taste just a hint of the lightly lightly burnt dough A basic greek salad with greek salad dressing. Hit the spot for us. They have been in this place about 6.5 years. Prior to that was a pizza place I believe named Little Ricci's. Asked for a takeout menu, but they are in process of ordering new ones. They have a special lunch offering, 2 Cheese slices and a drink for $6.00, I think it said extra toppings are 50 cents each, though not sure. This is one of my favorite spots for pizza.
The sign says 'Worth the wait ' and I say it 's half right. Saturday evening timeframe for two small pizzas was 35-40 minutes for pickup. It took over an hour. Worth it? For the supreme pizza (no olives) yes absolutely. Best supreme I 've ever had. Great meat, lots of veggies and delicious sauce to cheese ratio. Crust was nice and chewy, but you could fold it like a NY slice. For the cheese pizza (a staple of ny style), not worth the wait. Way too much sauce and herbs were overpowering. Might as well have skipped the cheese cause we couldnt taste it. I 'll give them another shot on a night not so busy. If you 're taking a group, order ahead!Maybe next time if we wait another 20 minutes after arriving they 'll offer a free soda or something. So close to 5 stars!
One of the best pizza place in Denver. Delicious! perfect spot to eat and spend time with family and friends.
Great pizza, well worth the wait. I used to live near New York City, I have been to pizza place after pizza place claiming to have New York Style pizza, this is the first place that I have eaten pizza at in the west that reminds me of New York Style pizza. My only warning, is that the pizza does take a while to be made because of the special care to dough and quality. But like their ten signs in the parlor say, it is well worth the wait. Its a little on the expensive side, but again, well worth the price. Stop in at this pizzeria if you are missing the east or if you want a very close interpretation of New York Style pizza.
Two words: Garlic Knots....you want these crispy, fluffy, chewy, intensely garlicky puffs in your mouth! The pizza is fresh and tasty. The crust has nice crispy edges and a soft chewy center. The staff has always been friendly and takes really good care of us when we eat here. Our cups are never empty and the place is small enough that a quick smile and some eye contact will have a server at your side in no time! If you want someplace cozy for a meal with friends or the family, this is a great little place to visit.
