Scallywags The - Den Haag Nederland

My little sister and I had a quick trip to The Hague and stayed at this wonderful AirBnB down the street. We went wondering for a yummy dinner and were lucky to walk into Scallywags. Jeffrey invited us in and was the most amazing host for our delicious 4-course meal. We had the wild mushroom soup to start, then their house salad which was superb, and then my sister had their lamb in a house chocolate sauce with jerk spices and I had their chicken in a Parmesan sauce. Both were soooo good! Then to top it all off we had their house made spiced apple cake. Jeffrey is one of the owners and he took such great care of us. Delicious wine and for the two of us it was less than 60 euro. Really delightful meal and will absolutely share with all my friends who come to visit!

This place still exists? The cook owner Richard was horrible and food was nothing special. We left before dessert (which was supposed to be included) because we were so fed up because it was taking forever to get food. Chef was downright rude; it was my partner's birthday dinner and unbelievably bad service. Went because of advice on a website and vowed to never go back.
