Bidrage med feedbackSome of the food was good some was terrible. We ordered the carpaccio it was very good, we also ordered a small pizza which was very good, we had the spinach dumplings and the walnut gorgonzola salad both were good. The calamari was not good at all, very salty and tiny pieces. The meat balls were beyond salty and burnt and tiny. Service was good atmosphere was nice.
Starting with the good. The fresh pasta was special. You don't get that many places. Beyond that, it was unimpressive. The sauce was nothing special, almost tasteless. The pizza with shrimp was more a gimmick than I can't wait to have that again. The short ribs were again mostly tasteless. We waited a long time for a server. There was no bread served with the meal, had to ask for salt and pepper. The water had so much city chlorine I couldn't drink it. Most places filter that with carbon filters. For the money I was expecting much better food. I've had better tasting pasta at chains. They also didn't seem to care about their customers. Nothing personal about the host, the manager, or the waitress. Just WamBam. They should spend more time on fewer better tasting dishes than lots of mediocre ones. Don't predict a long future for this place. Off the ave needs to be really good. Had Papa's Tappa's the night before. In a different league.
I had high expectations for this spot, unfortunately I think it fell short. The pizza was undercooked and doughy, the rice balls could have been a bit bigger, the muscles were a nice size and tasted fresh but the broth was tasteless. I was really looking forward to the frutti de mar, again very fresh but the amount of pasta was short and found a couple of clumps that should have been separated. Prior to plating. There were a lot of staff on their phones, chewing gum, eating protein bars and conversing among themselves….. I would not allow this behavior if I owned a restaurant.Just a few adjustments and I think the restaurant would be great.
Just saw a rerun of Diners, Drive-Ins, And Dives. Your quaint restaurant was featured. The food looked so delicious. I wanted to stick my hand into the TV to grab a taste! I’m not far from you all just a bit north in Ft.Lauderdale. Definitely going to take a ride up sometime soon.
Absolutely amazing! My husband and I have gone twice this week each time we both tried something new and we have been blown away with every dish. My husband even said the sausage and broccolini pasta is the best pasta dish he’s ever had! But I think the mushroom pappardelle is beyond amazing (add seared scallops to it)! This will definitely be a restaurant we will continually come back too!
