Royal Donut Shop - Daly City

It was 3AM so it was expected to be as empty as it was. Everything was clean and tiddy. Good amount of donuts and drinks and they were not running out anytime soon.

I've been going here since I was a little kid, it's my favorite local donut shop! Nothing fancy, just classic tasty donuts.

Wow! Was not expecting them to be so good. Had their chocolate glazed old fashioned raised donuts. They are large yeasty pillows of goodness. Only infraction is not enough of the chocolate glaze in proportion but I'll survive!

Love the double-chocolate rounds here! Some doughnut shops skimp on the cocoa, where they taste more like yellow cake, but this shop makes 'em rich and chocolatey!

These are some hefty donuts! Had chocolate Bismarck footlong, and another one that I’m not sure what it was. But it was like a little square of baklava in lighter donut form. Great place to stop when car shopping in the morning. Thank you for being cheerful early in the morning and quick service even with big line!
