Coneheads - Cultus Lake

We visited Coneheads several times during our trip to Cultus Lake. They had a wide selection of ice cream flavors, and the kids cones were just $1. It was a fun and affordable place to stop for a sweet treat.

While it's nice to enjoy an ice cream on a hot summer day after a long trip, I don't see anything particularly special about this shop. They have a wide variety of flavors, plenty of parking, and an authentic old-school layout, but it doesn't stand out from other ice cream shops. The owner seemed a bit snobbish, which may have been due to a bad day. I was going to give an average rating, but I deducted a star because of the unfriendly attitude. Ice cream should bring happiness! My suggestion would be to offer specialty flavors, lower prices, and some summer promotions. But I'm just a passerby looking for some ice cream, so who am I to judge.

Whenever we take a drive out to Cultus or beyond during the summer, the car seems to veer into Coneheads. The kids love it, the staff are friendly, and the adults can find enough selection.

We saw Coneheads on the side of the road on our way to Cultus Lake and decided we would hit it up on the way home. So we did just that.They have 20 or so flavours of ice cream in various containers (cup, regular cone, waffle cone and their own "dream" cone). For 2 kid cones and a regular 1 scoop it was about $5.50, which was great!There are a few picnic tables to sit at if you decide to stay. It is also within walking distance of Cultus Lake Waterpark (you do get in and our privileges for the Waterpark). They accept cash and debit (Interac). There is also a washroom on site, though it's behind the counter. I would totally go back next time too!
