Restaurante Tomas - Covilhã

I checked today after the comments of another critic, but unfortunately it was a terrible experience. the meals were unacceptable, so low quality that they could not even eat! all dishes (fish and meat) were too much cooked, no tasteful, too much oil really very...bath...and the price was high compared to the so bad quality.

If they are ever around covilha on the basis of the serra da estrela in portugal and they should be because it is a wonderful, untouched place this land restaurant, located in the hamlet of canhoso, is perfect for a large family excursion. we. are a few weeks ago with the family there. the place is not beautiful, a large, striped beauty, but eating is excellent for the category. they are specialized in grills and the local delicacies of fried children, 'cabrito' and sucking pigs, as well as other sturdy mountain dishes. most of my party had the young who was excellent. I chose "picanha ', a version of a Brazilian teller with stripes of steak and bran. I enjoyed it very much, but could not end the massive part we later bagged. the accompanying local house wine was smooth and drinkable and service efficient and friendly, especially so that it treats a large and loud family group with each at once in two languages. this place is rarely visited by tourist. when we went, it was full of local families and expats who returned to other Europeans for the summer break. the building is large, has a terrace and an outside area, with a lot of parking. the part is that there are a few miles outside of covilha, so someone has to leave alcohol to drive or get a taxi. a great experience.

Comida empratada, com apresentação até engraçada mas que não compensa o resto...carne em pouca quantidade e todos os acompanhamentos frios, batatas no forno, legumes (devem ser feitos antecipadamente e servidos assim). Nada de especial...
