The Royal Court - Coventry

I spend two weeks in this hotel. Price/quality ratio is brilliant, much to the breakfast and nighttime menu. the staff is polite and friendly. the lady who works most night behind the bar is on time pleasant and helpful. always looked after you with a smile. if I have to return depending on the coventry or environment, this is the hotel for me.

Staff great, room clean and comfortable so more than adequate. Food was very good for someone who is a fussy eater. Hotel decor was dated but what do you expect for the price. Would return if in the area again.

The room was basic but clean and equipped with everything we needed, such as a kettle and an en-suite bathroom. We stayed there for New Year's, but unfortunately, we were not informed that the pool and spa facilities were unavailable, which was quite disappointing since that was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. I asked the staff at the bar if they could play some music in the evening, and they obliged, which I appreciated; it added a livelier atmosphere to the night compared to just sitting in a quiet bar. The grounds were nice for a walk as well.

After reading some negative reviews about this hotel, I traveled there last night with a national coach tour and was pleasantly surprised! The room was a bit worn but spacious, had everything we needed, and was exceptionally clean! The staff was fantastic, especially those in the restaurant and the two girls at the bar, who worked diligently to serve the large queue of customers. Yes, the hotel could benefit from some renovations, but given the price, complaints feel unwarranted. If guests are looking for luxury, they should expect to pay for a luxury hotel! The food was also quite good for the price, much better than what many reviews suggest!

Some areas of the hotel show signs of wear, but overall, it’s a good place to stay. My attic room was spacious and offered a lovely view. The layout felt like a maze, with numerous doors and many steps to navigate. The bed was comfortable, and I felt it was good value for the money.
