Bidrage med feedbackWe have heard about this place since a good thing and have finally the chance to go! I would highly recommend, service from beginning to end was amazing, prospective and experience of eating a burg was definitiw fun and could easily say the best fillet steak I had in cornwall!
For so many years we have seen this since we only live locally and apart from a quick look around almost 30 yes before never visited for a meal to celebrate 40 years since we started to go before court, I decided to do something nice so booked a table for 2arrived 5 minutes early no problems parking, although the track has some brightening jumps and dives so slow. we sat immediately, gave a few minutes to view the menu and then ordered drinks, starter and porn as most people already checked menu on their website. I had the garlic mushrooms, followed by the safayeh garnels on rice, all the meals were delicious and served hot. very courteous staff and very efficient. only critique is the little wein at £6.95 is in the did a miniature bottle of a glass, I would like to see half a carafe and paid a little more. really loved the atmosphere and will definitely return no card machine so cash or scare only tony and shelley april 2022
What a lovely unique experience. Went for my 60th. Food a delight, friendly staff, would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful meal here, the staff were nice and friendly. Food and service was fantastic. Was even allowed to go up to the roof and enjoy the wonderful views. When we are next on holiday that way, we will be going back.
16 of us for a 70th birthday enjoyed this absolutely wonderful venue. A lovely sunny (but breezy) September evening after a very wet and windy day. We were able to enjoy the early evening sunshine on the roof terrace (actually 3 different areas with 2 out of the breeze). The management were very helpful from day 1 of planning the event although a little patience is required awaiting responses due to the Castle's restricted communications. They always responded (with good answers) by next morning. The service was perfect; discreet, friendly, efficient, helpful and patient. The food.... the empty plates said it all. Two of our party have run Cookery Schools and were delighted, as we all were. Plenty of choice, freshly prepared, great quality and all 16 meals arrived together....hot! What was remarkable was the value for money. This is NOT an expensive restaurant with a precocious menu. Starters from about 5 to 8. Mains from 15 to about 26 (steak served perfectly as a Carn Brea special); good choice of middle-eastern dishes which are not too spicy and not a chip in sight! It was cosy fitting in 16 around 1 table but it worked well. The Castle itself is fascinating with nooks and crannies everywhere and an extra room with retro stuff for sale (low key, not in your face). I had seen reviews saying the drive up is narrow. It is a Cornish Lane and no worse than many. I checked it out in advance, with a view to using a minibus. It wouldn't have been a problem although it might have struggled around the last chicane through the boulders but that is only 200 yards from the Castle. Standard cars, SUVs etc fine for getting all the way to the ample car park. This is the morning after and we have spent ages just going back over what a wonderful evening Carn Brea Castle Restaurant gave us. Thank you so very much. Everything was outstanding, book in advance +4 john sandys 3 reviews·6 photos 17 minutes ago NEW Dine in Dinner 30–40 Needs more stars than 5! 16 of us had dinner to celebrate my wife's 70th. Half our guests had no idea where we were taking them so it was a total surprise to arrive at this unique landmark. Everybody was bowled over by the Castle and it's ambience. After a very windy, rainy day it had come sunny and with a breeze so the roof terrace(s) (actually 3 areas so two were out of the wind) was a perfect mingling point to admire views before we ate. The service and food matched the perfection of the venue. From initial planning to the evening, the management were a great help, answering all my questions. As communications (phone etc) are difficult up there, you do have to be patient as they generally respond during the morning. I had read reviews that commented on the narrow road up but went and checked it out first. If needed you could get a minibus up there (although probably not the last 200 yards) but I did concede to give a lift to one guest as he might have resisted taking his big expensive Mercedes up. In conclusion, the venue unique and atmospheric, the food excellent (two of our guests have run Cookery Schools) and the service smooth, discreet, efficient and exceptional. Above all else brilliant value.
