Bidrage med feedbackWe saw this sweet looking restaurant high above Aigle when exploring the area and decided to give it an attempt, despite the menu very meat-oriented, and we are a vegan family of 5. There was only one other table occupied on a Friday night that would have given us a hint that something might not have been right. With nothing vegan on the menu we discussed what they could prepare, and forcibly they agreed to cook two servings of risotto with mushrooms, 3 lenses and chicchererbsburger and some (not much, tbh) grilled corgettes and carrots. We had 4 glasses of local wine and some water, and were then shocked to an invoice for 180 (you read the right) Swiss franc, not including service! We thought it was absolutely ridiculous and a shameless example of the exploitation of well-intended tourists. Best avoided, there are so many good and charming restaurants in the region, there is no need to waste money for people who obviously do not appreciate or appreciate serendipitous Diners.
I knew the ride was uphill, windy, on a narrow road, but I didn't know that I would meet road construction, huge utility cars and backhoes and stoplights for temporary construction. But we were determined to try this place! And I'm so glad we made it! Mostly we went for the Chasse menu, which means hunting and almost all items at this time of year are related game, but there was a vegetarian mushroom ravioli, a domestic bred rabbit dish and another non-game article. We started with foie grass, which was plentiful and excellent. I thought about the roasted wildhare in a chocolate sauce, but I chose two different deer dishes: Cerf and Chevreuil I highly recommend the Chevreuil, it is tender and tasty like Elch. It was accompanied by delicious roasted red cabbage, carmelized roasted chestnuts, homemade spices (cartaton owls! and a pear in red wine that was perfection! Then we split the cream brûlée, the vanilla and orange skillfully was brilliant! I wish I had room for the orange and mango panna cotta... Everything was accompanied by a wonderful local rosé. This restaurant was excellent and amazing in food quality and quiet but attentive service. If she's not too busy, the boss will come and say hello. Your husband visits the restaurant. It is very quiet up there, so if you want noise and hype, go somewhere else. The view is beautiful from the Alps over the Rhone Valley and the Dents du Midi series. Check the website for days and hours as they change with the seasons. A reservation is recommended to advise the owners. There are indoor and outdoor seats. Parking is past the restaurant on the right side. There are hikes in the area. Tally ho!
The place they have is incredible. A beautiful place with beautiful views. The food is delicious with great dishes. The waiter was also very nice.
Very charming place, excellent cuisine, beautiful view from the terrace, friendly service. In any case, a good place for lunch on a warm Sunday afternoon.
