Bidrage med feedbackI came here for lunch on a Sunday. Not too many ppl. I ordered one of the 8.99 specials. Spicy fish soup. Comes with rice and 3 sides kimchi, seaweed, radish. The food came piping hot and delicious. Definitely will come back.
As far as I know, this is the only place that I can have authentic Korean Style of Law Fish. I usually have $69combo set for 2ppl which comes with abundant side dishes, and seafood soup. It seems that the owner is always in site to meet his customers needs and servers are always outstanding. This restaurant's fresh fish will never disappoint you! Try, you will love this restaurant: One of my favourite restaurant in Vancity!!! (I am a huge fan of Law Fish
Food and service isn't as good as it was under the old ownership. Everything is just ok. Seafood pancake: was not crispy. The seafood was bland and chewy. It wasn't particularly delicious. Beef bulgogi stew: can be more flavorful. I feel like there was too much onions which overwhelms the flavor of the stew. The beef is nothing special. Spicy pork was good. Not amazing, but fares better than the other dishes. Big plates of banchan. The kimchi lacks any complexity in taste, the sour and spicy and salty combination wasn't there. The seaweed was great. My conclusion is that they don't seem to care that much about the art of cooking like the previous owner as everything felt very thrown together. Prices are good. Awkward waitress who seems bored. Maybe their seafood side is better? Who knows. Maybe I had high standards after having korean food in PoCo, but my experience was meh.
The servers here are so nice here! Came around multiple times to see if we neede anything, and even gave us some service food even though we didnt even order much. We will be coming back for sure!
Loved this place when it was called Pocha. Despite an owner change and menu modifications, this restaurant is every bit as good. The fried chicken is still fabulous. We prefer the spicy version but the regular is very tasty as well. Last night we had the chicken and Chirashi Don which was absolutely excellent. Small chunks of very fresh seafood with arugula salad and rice. You combine with the rice and mix in spicy sauce according to your taste. My wife and I loved it. The waitress (owner? gave us a complimentary salmon carpaccio which was basically torched salmon sashimi with wonderful sauces. Portions are large. We took home enough for a nice lunch. Total cost before tip was $37...very reasonable. It was an excellent excellent meal, attractively presented, great taste and good service. Highly recommended!
