Kuma Pies and Pastries - COOMA

Once you walk into this shop and see the cake cabinet you would think you have just walked into a French patisserie! The cakes amazing, and they taste as good as they look! Always stop here on our regular trips through Cooma

Great little cafe on the south side of town, so easier to park. Yummy chicken curry pie and vanilla slice. Good selection of pastries. Will call by again.

The pastries are delicious. The chicken and leek pie, beef pie, and sausage roll were all fantastic. These are the best pies I've ever had. I highly recommend them.

Although it is on the main street, Kuma Pies is a little out of the main café strip in Cooma, but is well worth finding. The shop front is deceptively “old school”, but the pies, cakes and coffee are always great. It is only a small bakery café, so you get to see and savour the produce as it is produced, baked and put out for sale. In summer it’s great to sit at the pavement tables, and watch the world go by. In winter, the back room is warmed by a very cosy fire.

The beef pie and vanilla slice at this restaurant are delicious, as are the chocolate cake and fruit tart. While they may be more expensive than items at supermarkets or in larger cities, the portions are generous and the prices are competitive compared to other stores in the area and in Canberra.
