Bidrage med feedbackIt?s finally here! College Station?s very own Velvet Taco and it?s as good as it gets! Great customer service.
I ordered the shrimp taco and the Korean fried rice tacos. About 5-6$ each. I'm sure velvet taco is good but I felt compelled to share my experience. I don't normally do reviews too The tortilla wasn't homemade, probably factory made and not even warm served. Even more I don't think it was toasted, probably taken straight from the bag like my college day chicken wraps. The shrimp were spot on and seasoned, probably accurate to the rest of the reviews here The pork was room temp, not cold or warm. Dry so much so that the shredded pork just gets stuck in your teeth. The avocado served on the tacos were brown and slimy. The lime and lemon garnishes near the soda machine were dry and dehydrated, had a white skin over it because it was dry. I only tried one of two unrefridgerated Salas, I don't think it's a house salsa and it's just Cholula sauce bottled. I had to eat my tacos on a paper towel plate because the food isn't served with plates. Sorry y'all The cousin I was with was also underwhelmed with his tacos
As if this place needs another 5 star review. I travel all over the country and always sample the tacos wherever I go. These are the new benchmark. Tried the tikka chicken, Korean rice, and Angus. Best tacos I?ve ever had. Not cheap but three are a very full dinner, two would be a good lunch. One is a snack.
Great fresh made unique tacos. Most people order a couple different ones. I recommend the Elote Corn with chips and since this is a college town I will recommend the egg and tater tots for hangover, but honestly I love them anytime.
Spicy chicken taco was so on point! Enjoyed this before the movie.
