Texas Roadhouse - Coeur

My hubby and I decided to dine in because we have so many kids and wanted to dine at home with them. I will say, yes we decided to order on one of the busiest days. I know, not a smart choice but a choice I made. Anyways, we ordered the blooming onion, sirloin 16 oz with mashed potatoes and broccoli, loaded fries, side order of ribs, and prime rib. We did have a little mix up with our order when I went to pick it up but it was resolved quickly. I think their customer service was excellent! My few complaints were my sirloin was not medium rare, the blooming onion had parts that the batter was not cooked and no sauce for it, and I am not sure if the prime rib comes with horseradish sauce or not, but he missed the sauce. Otherwise the food was decent and they threw in a surprise for us of shrimp and cheese bread. Thank you! <3

Texas Roadhouse has amazing food. No doubt about that, ever! The service on the other hand, leaves something to be desired. Our server, Patrick, was more interested in talking to other people than doing his job. When we ordered our appetizer, he never asked what sauces we wanted to go with our Rattlesnake bites, fried pickles, and tater skins. Just brought us ranch. We watched while he spent 15 minutes talking with one table, and it had nothing to do with the restaurant.(we were right across the aisle) He was prompt with our food and drinks, very personable, but not the best server I have met.

Who doesn't like ribbing? meat was so tender that the bones fell off. plus hubby and I shared the woof blossom between the rolls, woof blossoms, and by the side. I shouldn't have ordered the combination of ribs and garnel. To be honest, the ribs were the high light. I didn't like them. I had thought that I had ordered grilled garnels (it did not taste grilled), but that will not deter me from eating there again. not to mention the next time when we are in the city I now know that they have their meals from Monday to Thursday.

Great food. Especially if you love red meat. But even for those who arent big beef fans, the selection of chicken and fish was pretty good. Personally I would recommend the fried catfish. The rolls of course were a delicious appetizer while waiting for my food, though I probably filled up on it a little too much, it was definitely delicious. And the atmosphere was comfortable even if it was a tad crowded. Is it my favorite place to eat? Nah. But it still deserves a 5 star for food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and cost. Which surprisingly it was not very expensive for a steak house.
