Bidrage med feedbackThis is a must visit if you are in the area. First, if you want to see gators you need to see them in their natural environment and not in a cage. The air boat captains are funny and knowledgeable and the ride is a great time. Second, they have the best gator we have ever eaten. It is so good! Third, they have live music, mostly 70’s guitar rock. It is an awesome environment to sit outside on the water, eat some gator, have a beer and listen to great music. We travel a lot and usually like to visit new places, but we always come back here because it never disappoints.
I remember the wooden shack and dock from visiting when I was a kid hasn’t changed and that’s pretty awesome. Pretty cool gator and frog statues to take pictures with out front. The boat ride is definitely fun, we seen birds, cattle (in the water) and a few alligators ?. The captain was nice (he took our picture) and operated the boat like a pro. He told us a ton of interesting facts about the environment and animals inhabiting it. Warning you will be in the sun and feel hot then the boat is not moving but feels fine when flying down the river!Wanted to try the restaurant but no one ever came to take an order (we were directed to take a seat anywhere and there was a few people behind the bar hanging out). We had a hungry toddler so we left.I think the price is a little high for what it was but overall I would do it again when we visit the area again.Kid friendliness: They provided kid life jacket snd ear protection.Parking: Gravel lot with lots of parking spots and a boat ramp
We took an airboat ride here last weekend and had a great time despite our boat breaking down in the middle of the river lol! Our Captain Gill was great! He handled the breakdown like a champ! We thought he was joking with us about the steering going out but he wasn't. He told us to brace and he had to bank the airboat on the land. No worries he immediately called for help, before we could wonder what was going to happen next he had another boat there. We were out of there within 10 minutes and he helped everyone single one of us onto the rescue boat. Things happen and he handled it with grace. I am sorry for the misfortune and hope they get the boat fixed soon. I definitely would recommend going on an airboat ride if you have never been, It's a great way to see nature in Florida.Parking: People park all over the place here, no clear parking spaces, someone parked their truck in front of ours and we could not get out.
Folks, treat yourselves, don 't cheat yourselves! This is your getaway spot for any occasion, from coming in off of a ride to bringing Grandma to dinner to bringing the wife/husband for a beer and a snack to bringing the kids for an airboat ride! That 's right; something for everyone!I tried the Gator bites with the 'bayou sauce ', and it was lighter than I expected and had a phenomenal flavor. She had the cheeseburger, and she said it 'hit the spot ' without being too heavy and weighing down the belly. The French fries were awesome enough to order by themselves; they make your taste buds do the 'Lone Cabbage Line Dance '!If you 're feeling particularly outdoorsy one day soon, bring your people and your sunscreen and go for an airboat ride on the St John 's River. We got to see several alligators hanging out in the sun!Lone Cabbage Team, awesome job, and we look forward to hanging with you guys again!!??
We did not eat or drink here, only came for the air boat ride. On the day we visited, many motorcycle enthusiasts were enjoying the place, food and music. There was lots if space to spread out and have a good time. Air conditioning was a welcome amenity!
