The Backyard Grill - Clifton

On way from Nashville to Shiloh, the steak (grilled outdoors even in winter) and freshly cut fries totally hit the mark, the bourbon exactly what you want in that place and time (don't drink and drive; it's attached to the Bear Inn), the band perfect, the local crowd totally into the good-times vibe. The owner, a generous person, never missed a beat while waiting tables and managing the place at the same time. If you see a frosted cake on top of the soda case behind the bar, ask for a slice of it, and cap off your first-class evening at a very fair price.
