Village Feast - City of Knox

The lunch experience on Christmas Eve 2022 was disappointing compared to previous reviews. The food was lukewarm at best, with a limited selection of hot dishes that tasted like leftovers from a previous dinner. Some vegetables were too tough to cut with the provided utensils and others, like carrots and pumpkin, appeared burnt and reheated from a previous meal. The apple crumble dessert was questionable, but improved slightly when paired with a hot cup of coffee. The topping on the apple crumble seemed to be a baked coconut crust, which was unusual and distracted from the traditional taste.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my family and was very disappointed. The prices have gone up significantly and the quality of the food has decreased. We arrived early in the lunch service and the food was not hot or very flavorful. I would no longer recommend Dorf Greens for a meal. I was very disappointed.

We had a great time at this restaurant during almost every meal. There is a large variety of food options and the desserts are wonderful. The only suggestion for improvement would be the pumpkin soup, which was too watery. The prices are reasonable and we will definitely come back. I would recommend this restaurant to friends.

I went to dinner this afternoon with my dad. I had the same to drink and my dad had a cappuccino to drink. I enjoyed the apple crumble for dessert and he enjoyed the obstsalat for dessert. the personal was nice to us and the eating was amazing.

With a senior's discount for one in our party and a use of the free Monty's Rewards card, dining on a Thursday night cost A$60. Two lemon lime and bitters and a Coopers pale ale stubbie totalled A$16.50, so overall, very good value. There were...about 80 diners. The sweet and sour pork was mouthwatering and the beef in balckbean sauce also good, as were the good range of vegetables, roast potatoes, fried rice and salads. I enjoyed the desserts: pavlova, ice cream, squares of panna cotta and what one in our group said were lovely fried concoctions. Overall it was very good value with OK staff. They didn't smile a lot but were efficient. We travelled on the route 693 Ventura bus after connecting efficiently from a Metro train at Oakleigh railway station. Easier than driving!
