Panera Bread - Christiansburg

Listen, I don’t know what happened, but the older man wearing the Panera Catering shirt was just yelling at these poor teenagers behind the counter. I had great service from everyone there, they made it through a really crazy lunch rush, and around 3:30, something went wrong and the way it was handled by this older (I would say gentleman, but he was not gentle) man was so embarrassing to witness. It clearly sucked all the joy out of everyone else. They all just visibly shrunk, and had to work extra hard to perk up and serve the guests well because this grown man was not professional enough to regulate his emotional response. Do better.

I go in and the person supposed to be behind the register is out at a table talking about Red Robin food. It's slow its 345pm and no one is in the place. Last time I came in the same lady a bit not nice to an older lady asking questions about a gift card. She seemed overly bothered and agitated. Not very welcoming or good service. Twice in a row. She may be a manager. I'll come back when someone new is in charge. Very rude and unprofessional.

The worst Panera in the world. Slowest service even at the drive thru. Needs improved/ increased employment. Thoroughly dissatisfied. If you want to waste your time then this is a good pick.

I used to love Panera Bread but I have to say that I was rather disappointed in this particular one. It just feels sad and gloomy in there, makes you wanna leave. It is pretty empty, tables were not being wiped in between customers and my food was never called out once it was ready. I waited about 15 minutes before walking to the pick counter where I saw my food sitting. Luckily it was just a salad so it didn’t get cold but I don’t understand why they never called my order. And I think it is overpriced.

Panera food is generally very good. Wait time to order and receive your food is slow. If you are in a hurry, better skip Panera. If you have time and patience, Panera is fine. Service is pleasant.
