A big scream to the manager steve and the entire staff at the red lion who saved us at the weekend. after an icy morning waiting for crewe station, hoping for a visit to chester christmas markets, with my friend who visited for the weekend, we finally gave up the mind and decided to come home and eat us with a bit of lunch and a few drinks in the red lion. Unfortunately, the chef was sick so no food is served. although we were disappointed, we could not be welcomed anymore and have a really great afternoon. who needed lunch on the way! Many thanks to steve that we felt so welcome and saved the day, what a great afternoon/night we had so that our day was not completely ruined. will definitely be revisit.....and hopefully some tasting nice from the menu next time

If they could improve in that aspect, it would be excellent. However, my cheese and pickle sandwich was just cheese slices and mostly pickles served on ordinary bread, which was cut at the corners. For £8, I would have expected a gourmet sandwich and better quality cheese. The "homemade" soup on the menu is actually just from a bistro and nothing tasted fresh. On the other hand, the homemade fries were more satisfying. The restaurant has a lovely setting, friendly staff, and a great variety of beverages, but the food overall was disappointing. It doesn't have to be fancy, just homemade and fresh.

Of a busy, friendly pub, the red lion has become a sad, empty failure. the owners said they wanted there to be a target gastro, but now there is no food at all. the pub doesn't seem to be open. above all the time (service? it is hardly worth going there, just to be hit by a closed door. we hope that punch taverns, who apparently own the business, are happy with what they have done as the next thing that will be that they will permanently close it and sell it for the sanation.

A group of friends and I visited this pub over the weekend and it was fantastic! The staff were friendly and engaging, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The food was exceptional and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon, as I can't wait to eat there again!
