Hong Kong Chef

I used this take away until tonight, I asked for one meal and after along wait I received my fish and chips, the fish was not cooked, it’s batter was still wet!! so I basically paid £2.80 plus £1.50 delivery for something I could not eat! So I just eat the chips which cost £1.60. This was an absolute disgrace as we use this take away a number of times a week for family meals NO More!!!

I don’t normally write reviews or normally complain,but I felt I had to today.I visited the takeaway with only 1person in front of me,as it had only just opened.I place my order of Singapore chow mein I asked for No shrimps but added mushrooms..straight away the Chinese lady was jumping down my throat shouting no mushrooms,I thought she meant they had no mushrooms there so I said oh ok no problem! then she said ok you can pay extra for Mushrooms I said oh Yhh that’s fine(even tho I never had the shrimps wich I thought could of been a substitute!)but even so I said I would pay extra…then after a 40 minute wait in out of the shop other customers being served had there food before me!my meal was giving to me..I got to the car they had given me Singapore vermicelli rice noodles instead of normal chow mein noodles.(considering I have this dish a lot from lots of other different places when I have asked for Singapore chow mein I always get chow mein noodles if I wanted vermicelli rice noodles I would of asked for Singapore vermicelli!!so I goes back in the shop states this to the lady she started shouting at me again saying there is nothing she can do!she didn’t even offer me anything else! so I was left with meal I didn’t ask for so I said “I won’t be coming here again “to wich her reply was ‘it doesn’t matter’..I found her very rude from start to finish is no way to treat customers…so I gets home with the meal I didn’t ask for the meal itself was totally bland tasteless with no spice (Singapore chow Mein is suppose to be spicy) there was no meat in there except spam meat!! the mushrooms I payed extra for I had 3 slices of mushrooms.absolutely tasteless shocking service.I will never go to that place again!

Over 20 years the family have been going here, today we went to collect food.... Coughing all over the food woth no masks on, Well I say no mask, she thought it works if she wears it under her chin! Swearing at each other, food all over the floor/ desks.. one of the staff on the phone calling her partner a c because he left 2 coffee cups on the drainer!!!!. Then calling each other all sorts Anyway, get the food home start eating it and low and Behold A hair in the food !!!! As if this wasn 't bad enough nor wearing masks and coughing all over the shop!!! Absolutely disgusting, needs shutting down!!

I've been buying food from this establishment since I moved to Winsford in 1989. Every meal, and I've tried a large range of it, has been very tasty and perfectly cooked. I've never had anything but polite and friendly service but, I suppose if you are polite they will be polite. I understand that a few unruly people were disrespectful and abusive and were banned. The staff deserve respect, anything less is unacceptable.

Food was average. Delivery good. Not used this place for over 5 years so thought I’d give it a try again. Would use them again.
