The White Lion - Cheshire East

It was decent but not exceptional. I had visited a few years ago and was impressed, but a recent visit for Sunday lunch (beef) was disappointing. The meat was tough and overcooked - I prefer rare, but there were not many other options available. It might have just been an off day, but I won't be in a hurry to return.

I had a wonderful evening at The White Lion a few weeks ago with live music and delicious food. The atmosphere was great for a cozy pub and the staff were friendly. I will definitely visit again, especially if there is live music playing.

We had a fantastic experience with the service at this restaurant! Although there was a small mix-up with the food, it was promptly resolved. The new lady behind the bar was friendly and understanding, while the other lady working was also very kind and assisted us with our order. Despite the burger tasting off, the cod goujons starter was enjoyable. Unfortunately, I was informed that cheesy chips were not available, even though they were listed on the menu. Overall, the stars go to the exceptional service we received.

Party of 13 with an age range 10 to 70+ seated in a separate area. Very friendly service with a good choice from the menu. Tasty food and good value. Dog friendly. Would visit again.

I booked in last Sunday for 10 of us and we really put the chef to the test by each one of us ordering a different dish. The landlord and staff were very welcoming and friendly and the choice of beers excellent. We were made to feel very comfortable and I've got to say the food was excellent and great value for money. Having visited all the pubs in Disley, its the White Lion that gets top marks.
