Church House Inn - Cheshire East

I stopped by with some friends for a quick drink and ended up staying longer. The service was fantastic, with a great choice of beers. I would definitely recommend this place. I'm not sure if they allow dogs, but if they do, I will definitely be back.

Lovely pub to end a long walk in the beautiful surrounding area. They have a good selection of beers and the menu is nice. I really like the chips here too. The staff are really friendly here too and happy to help. They have a covered outdoor area and a play area if you have kids. I’m 90% sure that they have heaters out there too. All in all, a lovely pub.

The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. When we arrived after 12pm, some items on the menu were not yet prepared.

I gave 3 stars for the food, which we all enjoyed, but we were initially charged for a ciabatta prawn sandwich and received a sliced bread sandwich instead. The service was good, but our incorrect order was not noticed. When I mentioned it at the time of payment, it was quickly sorted out with an apology. We tried two different meat pies from the specials board, which were very tasty, but we would have liked a larger portion of vegetables. The atmosphere was quiet for a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, I was unable to find an alcohol-free cider, which is commonly stocked in many places now. The staff were pleasant and friendly. I appreciated seeing the history of the public house through the pictures on the wall, and the lady at the bar was able to answer my questions. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would go again.
