Harvester The Redgrove - Cheltenham

Host was very abrupt when greeting us, saying they were packed and it’s an hour to hour and half wait when the restaurant was half full. Service did take a while with cutlery taking ages after 3/4 requests. Steve our waiter was great and handled the stressful situation well and offered a discount. He was cheerful, polite and helpful throughout despite clearly being under a lot of pressure. Ok service, but good recovery.

45 min wait for our food. Staff arguing with each other.

Good and consistent food. I have eaten in many Harvesters but this particular one stood out. The plus was speed, friendliness and level of service, the food delivered was correct and cooked well. The minus was the car park. Being part of a hotel I had to go and acquire a permit to park not a major issue but it did detract from the experience.
