San - Chelmsford

It was our first time visiting a restaurant called Sans that offers an all-you-can-eat service. We had assumed that the dining experience would be in a buffet style, but to our surprise, we were greeted with a menu and a waiter came to take our selections. The food was freshly cooked to order and the portions were larger than we had anticipated, similar to what you would find in a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant had a warning posted about not over-ordering and wasting food, as the chef seemed to disapprove of such behavior. It is better to order conservatively at first and request more if needed. The food we ordered was delicious and our overall experience at Sans was pleasant. We plan to return and would gladly recommend it to friends, although we rated it four stars because nothing is perfect.

The Chinese food at this restaurant is beautifully authentic. However, unlike at Song Bond Street, desserts are not included.

The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. We had a large group and they served us very efficiently. I needed to change the reservation and the manager was extremely helpful.

Our fave Chinese restaurant. the personal is attentive and helpful. eating is delicious and served hot. the chicken dumplings are delicious, but the sizzle plate tintenfisch was abit bland. we will be 100% back

Great restaurant, unfortunately haven't managed to go inside to eat for 7 years now, however have regularly been getting Takeaways. Meals are great, although prices have gone up a fair amount recently.
