Hawker Lane in the Westfield has great atmosphere and lots of choice if you’re looking for Asian cuisine. If you’re lucky, you’ll pick a day that isn’t too busy and you can find a table. <br/ <br/ I ordered the crispy chicken laksa on the server’s recommendation. She also told me that there was a 10 minute wait. I think she was friendly, helpful, honest and polite. <br/ <br/ The laksa was good. Decent serving size with plenty of noodles. The level of flavour and spice was as expected. The chicken was crispy and served on the side to maintain the crispness. <br/ <br/ Price is a little higher than other places in Hawker Lane. A few dollars less would make it better value for the dish. <br/ <br/ Would happily order this again.
I love Malaysian food so I was hoping to check out Jim's Malaysia as I have seen a lot of tasty looking photos in their Instagram. I had the king prawn curry laksa and a curry puff. Both were really yummy! The laksa broth was quite thick with great flavor and not too spicy. Curry puff had a flaky exterior which I love! The filling was slightly bland (not sure whether it's because I had it after the flavorsome laksa broth) but wouldn't mind getting another one but I actually bought the last one. Will be back!
Ind us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus<br/ <br/ Solid malaysian food. Great taste, comes out fast, and authentic flavours. Their chicken satay is a particualr standout! Tek Tarik great way to wash down the meal.
I've been eating at the same udon place like three times in a row whenever I went to Chatswood so insisting on going to Hawkers Lane this time was a refreshing decision. The koay teow at Jim's Malaysia was honestly the only menu item in the whole food court that I was interested in, and so I ordered it without hesitation. It's $12.80, a little over my usual food budget, but it's really good especially the sambal ??? on the side. The noodles are so soft as well!! I would go here again perhaps to try the nasi lemak.
