Applebee's - Charlotte

Well, we hadn 't been to Applebees in awhile and now I remember why. None of the workers there seemed to enjoy being there at all. We waited about 10 minutes for a table to be cleared for us not too bad. BIt took about 5 7 minutes once we were seated to have our waitress take our drinks order. We had gone in to get the 2 for $25 meals (that included an appetizer to share). It was about 10 mins before they arrived. When we actually ordered the food, I was told they didn 't have the 6 oz steak offered but could get the 8 oz for $2 more. My drink order was wrong. It took another 10 15 minutes to get our appetizer to our table. We took awhile to eat it it WAS good (spinach/artichoke dip). We had finished our app and waited another 20 25 minutes to get our meal! It was hot and really good, but we never saw our waitress again until I flagged her down to get a refill for my tea. She didn 't check on us to see how our meal was until we were just about done. That 's when she 'remembered ' the steak sauce she 'd been carrying around. We waited another 10 or so minutes once we were finished to get our bill. Which we questioned. We were not told there was an 'up charge ' for two of the things we had ordered. There was an up charge for a third, but my hubby never did get that. We had to ask to have that taken off. I should mention that we were there at around 5:15 on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was not even close to being full, so that excuse wouldn 't fly. So...while the food was actually very good (once we got it), the service was sorely lacking and we probably will not eat there again.

I do love going to Applebees once in a blue moon. We always have good service good food, from French fries to steak dinner. The waitstaff is usually friendly helpful, you do get a waitress/waiter having a bad day, but it happens to everyone occasionally.

No just no....food is still the same as it was with no attempt a,t making it good again. this was my last time trying it again after 2 bad visits. I used to like the place back in DC but this one not so much...pass.

The service at this location started out very slow. We had to scan a QR code to check in there was no host/hostess. When we walked in it was many 5-6 ppl waiting, by the time someone came to seat us it was about 10-12. I think they were short staffed. We tried the $12.99 all you can eat boneless buffalo wings. The flavors were really good! But the first serving is the full entree then they serve 6 additional as you get more. We were full the rest of the day The waiter was nice. The atmosphere was as expected at a sports bar.

Feel bad since this is the only place that's still over there, but literally haven't eaten at Applebee's in years and thought we'd try it since there's a new menu. Tried curbside but after 45 mins we just went in. Unfortunately, we didn't check till we got home but our order was wrong. Nothing's worse than getting a burger and they forgot the fries AND cheese
