Bidrage med feedbackExcellent atmosphere for dinner. And acceptable dishes of Chinese and Japanese menus.
Absolutely great. The food is stunning.... Service was great. Definitely get there early for some drinks in the hotel beforehand
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and most importantly really great food. Loved Tony Turong's Kung Po Chicken.
Coming to Mei Ume was my first ever Japanese food experience, I've never even had a dumpling before or wagyu beef. Coming through the four seasons interior made it feel like a magical event (and it was me and my partners 6 year anniversary, so it was already exciting). But then the greeting and seating was very comfortable, the waiters were very friendly and helped me understand portion sizes and what things mean (I learned how to use chop sticks on the spot aswell). The value is there for such a great venue and amazing food service. Definitely will be going again, probably for a birthday or anniversary, but wow the food was to die for.
Pros: Excellent stir fried lobster (perfect for 2). Great cocktails, particularly the Dark Crystal. The Sleeping Dragon has a strong aftertaste, so will depend on your preference. Service was fantastic. Our waiter (Luke Chu) was responsive, polite and dedicated. Probably one of the best waiters we've had in London in the past five years. Great ambience and interior design. Cons: The nigiri set wasn't amazing compared to those in specialty Japanese restaurants (of similar price points). Certain fish, e.g. tuna, did not seem up to scratch. Tapioca Sago wasn't memorable. Price is slightly on the higher end (about £110 150 per person). Overall rating: Around 4.5/5.
