Bidrage med feedbackI had a few beers and watched the football game in this place. It's okay, but could use a good cleaning. This is the worst Yates bar I've been to, they could definitely improve.
I asked the bartender for a pint of bitter shandy, but he said they didn't have any. I explained the recipe and ended up with three quarters of a pint of shandy with froth. It wasn't a great start. However, the food I ordered was delivered hot and delicious. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the place. It's affordable, the food is good, but the staff could use some training and the place could use some renovations, although that would likely increase prices.
There are always 5-8 staff members behind the bar, but even on a slow day, it takes over 10 minutes to be acknowledged. The prices are relatively high for the quality of food and service.
First time in here Very busy for the England : Tunisia World Cup match Could Hardly find 2 chairs and a table under one of the corner screens Managed to order some drinks Was disappointed to know that practically there were no food apart from only one of two options some burger and steak and kidney pudding Survived on the last packets of crisps. Obviously no stock planning in preparation for such every 4 years event Left before the end of the match to the pub next door Standard where we enjoyed our pizza and drinks as well as England win !!
Last time a week ago hardly anyone in there on Saturday and meal arrived chilli and rice for the wife, the portion was so small about 2 tablespoons of chilli on half a plate of rice for £5: 79. I complained to be told it's head office guideline. Well stuff your pub then. Just found out they are now closing in Bedford.
