Bidrage med feedbackFood was great and atmosphere was great. The fresh juice machine was so brilliant. I was very impressed.
All on the north side of the campus agree that Rialto is the better dining area (despite South-Siders' repeated assertion that their piazza is better). The arguments are somewhat sweet, as the differences are largely based on opinion, and the foods at both points are almost identical, but I will give here a short treatment of alienating properties. Piazza is bigger, but usually more crowded, with a greater sense of traffic around the food. Rialto has all seats in one area and all the food along the north wall. The Piazza has the stirring Frey/Eastern kitchen area that is missing in Rialto. Rialto has the constantly changing grill station, which serves, for example, crepes and omelets. Rialto Boats the cozy Farmers Market Parlour, with lounge seating. The Piazza has more stands. Rialto is tastefully decorated. This said Piazza is known for over-the-top transformation, which takes place every year on Halloween and turns the dining room into a changing nightmare for two nights a year But the food at both is objectively the best of Iowas public schools. They can all agree.
I ate here just about every day! It would be good if they had more of a selection some days but I still have many fond memories eating here.
I changed my mind, Rialto is the better dining room. The constant Taco/Nacho Bar with queso? The pizza that's always better? Your sandwiches, burgers and pommes? The vegan and food allergy options? The bar in the middle has queensadillas and sushi bowls and so? Everything delicious and better than Piazza. The only thing that piazza has in Rialto is diner style food (if it is good).
Tasty college food. Definitely beats eating ramen everyday! They are taking COVID-19 very seriously.
