Bidrage med feedbackDon't know if the place is still open as there were plans for the hotel above it to turn it into another room but if it is still there it is worth a visit or two. It really is a tiny place but it has so much character, with a hug array of football scarves adorning every inch of the ceiling and cosy little half booths around the bar. That's not to say that it is in any way like a typical sports bar. Far from it. If there is a game on it will be played on the two small tv's otherwise they'll have top 80s hits on in the background. Yet the real character comes from the two wonderfully sweet old guys behind the bar. Once you get to know them or come back a second time they really make an effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. One will talk to you about Portuguese wine (we used a mixture of broken Portugese and Spanish) while the other prepares a delicious plate of pica pau or prego no pau in the tiny kitchen in the back. Lovely place, hope it's still there.....
Nice little place to just grab a beer and snack. A bit smoky and expensive for what you get, but a nice place if you just need a quick bite.
After din er and walking around Cascais or Estoril go see the guys at Tiny Pub for an amazing Pica Pau (this American's favorite) or excellent burger etc a perfectly mixed drink or super cold beer and on hot summer nights enjoy the luxury of air conditioning!
Outstanding place for a cold drink, a late snack the PICA-PAU is to die for ... . Safe, clean, great conversation. The owners are two of the nicest guys you will ever meet.
We only had drinks but they were good and very cheap. The food that other customers had looked very nice. The barman was really kind and welcoming. Great for a drink and snacks.
