Ricci's Trattoria - Cary

We waited for an hour. When we sat, we noticed that the waitress was busy and was put on our whole mission. The drinks and garlic knots came on time. Then we waited for a pizza at the table for two hours. Our waitress, who was fantastic, always calmed us down the pizza. To close for 10 minutes, she told us that the pizza was in the oven and that she turned it because there was an argument in the kitchen. An ARGUEMENT IN THE KÜCHEN?? Our food never came. Our waitress told us to leave and force the drinks and garlic knots. 3 total hours from our name to go down and all we got was a round when drinks and garlic knots. Unacceptable.

Ricci?s used to be my place for good pizza and pasta near my house. The last times I visited were extremely disappointing. A few months ago my family and I visited and asked for our food that needed a ridiculous amount of time to get (I think we waited for about 2 hours for our food. There was a birthday event, but we arrived before the beginning and for some reason did not get our food for hours! They apologised to us, but NIE offered any kind of free dessert or discount. I couldn't believe it! Then, last week my brother in law took my two daughters to eat there and after waiting 30min on a table, they inform them that they have no chicken or beef, that the only product they had shrimps. Then her pasta was very understated. You complained about it, but we?re not offered any kind of discount at all. I'm posting this review because I really would like to get things under control for Riccis. We really like the owner and his daughter and have really appreciated this restaurant when it was good. I am not sure whether it is a lack of personnel or a supply problem, but I really hope that if things were not going well for a customer, a small discount would go a long way!

This place used to be great. It's getting worse. I'm so over it. A pizza to pick up. It went from shop to car. Open it at home (2 minutes drive, no bumps, nothing). That's what it looks like. Go somewhere else. They don't care.

I went to Ricci?s Trattoria (2022) at the beginning of August this year. Taylor was my server and she was very professional and so friendly! I spoke to the owner and boss of the restaurant, Ricci, after my meal. He was so on earth and is from New York. I was born in Long Island, so it was really great to talk to him. I ordered the Melanzana Rollatini (Eggplant Rollatini). My server, Taylor, recommended it when I asked her, especially if you like ricotta cheese? she felt that this was a good choice and boy was right!! It came with fresh garlic green beans and potatoes. The portions are a really good size. I loved the Melanzana Rollatini! It was so delicious. The garlic green beans and potatoes were also wonderful. I ordered a glass of Riesling wine. It was the Kung Fu Girl and it was excellent!! My friend was out of town, so I came by the night, but will definitely be back with him. Delicious Italian cuisine in Cary. We decided to try this restaurant for our daughter's 21st birthday dinner and wasn't disappointed. I'm from a true Italian family and thought their sauce was spot one. Our table had a variety of entrees and we were very satisfied with the quality, taste and portions. The owner even came out, asked how everything was and then quickly returned with a free dessert to go! We'll be back soon to try their pizza.
