Cafe Madre - Carmichael

Great coffee shop! Yummy coffee! My only complaints are the hours of operation and wifi. Cafe Madre closes at 3pm each day, which is extremely early! There have been quite a few times that I have wanted to patronize them but have been unable to because they had closed for the day. I also couldn't log on to the wifi using the password they provided, and it wasn't clear what the network name was. (March 15)

It's good coffee. The service can be a little slow but who cares? If you're here to get a quick cup of coffee right away, go to the AM PM around the corner. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I’m glad there is still a coffee shop here! I’m glad they’re still featuring Insight beans, but it’s not QUITE as amazing as Insight was. Atmosphere is still the same good place to meet up with friends or claim a table to study or work.

Service here was great. The young lady was working alone but was friendly and quick. The drinks and food were a little bit of a let down. Cups were very small (I should have just ordered a large coffee but I opted for a soy latte). The food was fine, though I am pretty sure they used Skippy for the peanut butter instead of a brand that only had peanuts and salt in it. It had that chemical-sweet kinda taste that may not bother you if you enjoy Skippy. Overall I didn't like the food but that may have been the primary reason. They are using to go containers for everything so my slice of toast came in a box with plastic wrapped plastic ware I needed to promptly toss away, but to be fair this is more of a state of the world than this place. I loathe the waste. All this to say this place is not for me. I hope that if you swing by you'll enjoy the great service and get a small specialty drink or a large coffee.

First time there but think it's one of my new favorite places. Especially right after opening as it was nice and quiet and not too crowded. It had a good vibe, good coffee, friendly service plus plenty of seating inside and out . Insight coffee was already a fav so having it so close to home and in a really great hang out spot is great. Next time plan to get one of their toasts.
