Thruway Restaurant - Carleton Place

For a late breakfast. the service was good and friendly, but the breakfast was a little disappointing. eating seemed to be dry overall, kartoffel rounds were very dry.

I ordered what I thought was lasagna, but it turned out to be pasta with meat sauce and cheese all on one plate. It wasn't lasagna, but I still decided to try it. Just a heads up for anyone else considering ordering it.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I will not try to return after two. take them out: we both ordered the Turkey dinner, the stuffing was apparently placed some slices of white brot under our flesh. were cooked and completely unseasonal....Eat in: we both ordered the chicken was hard and dry and again cooked unzackten vegetables. we both left most of our meal times and took us out elsewhere. I had hoped better from here, as the local decisions are limited. our server was really very sweet, but unfortunately we will not be back.

The young girl looked a little confused. finally showed us at a stand that was clean, but the floor looked like there was a food fight. If that's the standard, we couldn't imagine what the kitchen was. as we left.

HAIR IN MY SALAD!!!! We dropped by for dinner last night, April 4, 2022. I ordered the steak and salad with baked potato and vegetables. I took my first bite of the salad and realized that I had this long (about 8-10 inches, perhaps blond)...hair hanging from my mouth. Now the little hair that I have left is short and grey so it wasn 't mine! I was disgusted!!!! I called the waitress over who was also surprised and asked me if I wanted another soup or salad and I declined. At this point I was thinking Not **** Likely but I chose to be polite about it. Then the steak came and the vegetables had the life boiled out of them. Completely bland with no flavor. The steak was ok but undercooked. Nevertheless, the meal was edible and I managed to eat the cooked veggies after applying A LOT of pepper. As for the hair, a classy or decent restaurant would have had the manager come over to apologiize and knock a few bucks off the meal just for goodwill. That didn 't happen! When we paid our bill at the front we were asked how the meal was. I said fair expecting the girl to ask what was wrong? or what could we have done better? . That didn 't happen! She didn 't comment or even look up at us. Needless to say no tip was rendered! My suggestion for this restaurant is to change the name to Throw Away Restaurant because when you end up with hair in your food the staff need to make it right . Well Throw Away Restaurant.....you not only lost us as customers, we will tell all our friends this story and suggest that they stay away. And please, we don 't want to hear the standard manager/owner reply to this review!!!! You had your chance and your staff blew it!!!!
