La Bateliere - Capestang

We had a house in Capestang for the last 30 years and visited La Bateliere. The location on the side of le Canal du Midi was very pleasant, but the standard fell off as mentioned by others, and we haven't seen it for many years. That was until last May '22, on one day most of the other restaurants in Kapstang were closed, or we couldn't get a table because we didn't book. It is now almost two months after our visit and cannot remember exactly what we have ordered, but meals were really very good and the price reasonable, so much, we have expressed our surprise to each other.

Right on the Canal du Midi in Kapstang, this is a good choice for lunch or dinner. Cheapest prices and friendly service.

The food was okay, but not good. My wife had fish and she commented the sauce and the chips were nice. We don't go back, there will be other better places in town

We stopped on a bicycle tour for a cold drink. Our friends had lunch there a few days earlier. What a stunning location by the canal. They were amazed by the food for lunch, and service was good. Toilettes clean and easy to stop with...the bikes. Think I will be a regular visiter.
