The Wandering Elk - Canmore

I stayed at the Wind Tower and enjoyed several meals at the restaurant. The burgers and house salad were particularly delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Our food took a very long time to come out, but when it finally arrived, it was worth the wait. We walked to the restaurant and had to wait for a table, but it was conveniently located right outside the hotel lobby, so it was a comfortable place to wait. The service was quite slow - we ordered our food and drinks at the same time and waited over 45 minutes. After seeing the third table seated after us receive their food before us, and with no one checking on our drinks for refills, we had to seek out our server. It turned out that either she or the kitchen had completely forgotten our order, but they went above and beyond to fix the mistake and ensure we were satisfied. The meals were excellent, especially the way they cooked wild game - it was truly impressive.

I walked over from another hotel to try the food here. Oh my god, the deep fried pickles are fantastic! The prices are reasonable. I went on a Saturday night and it was not very busy. The service was great, and the burgers are homemade and delicious. Tammy L was awesome.

Small pub with good service and the burgers amazing. We went Thursday and the deal was $18 pint and burger. Elk burger was awesome and they are kid friendly. Will definitely be stopping by for a burger next time we are in town.

Stopped in for a quick pint to kill some time. Glad we did as Aaron, behind the bar, was beyond hospitable and helped entertain our kids.
