Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant was very “okay”. Nothing special, nothing game changing, nothing particularly bad. Great if you’re staying at the hotel, very convenient, but not worth any amount of driving I would say. The films of Andrei Tarkovsky always strive to find a deep sense of meaning both of the world and how we, as humans, connect to it and each other. I did not feel any more connected to the world after eating here, but it does set me on a course to continue my search. For that, I am thankful.
It was OK. Perhaps what I ordered wasn’t the best (root beer BBQ ribs). My stomach is not feeling the best afterwards. Other family members liked their salad- fresh and light. My kids did enjoy their chicken tenders though.
The food was disappointing for the price. Overall, a mediocre meal. We ordered several items on the menu and nothing really stood out. Tuna poke was discolored with an absolutely horrid toast that tasted stale (not toasted). Mussels tasted bland. Crab cakes were doused in mayo. And to top it off, we saw a worker come out of the restroom as he was zipping his front zipper and headed straight to the kitchen. Yuck! 2 stars instead of 1 because the onion rings, soup, and wings were okay! We will not be returning.
Great food and fantastic service. We had lunch and it was so good we came back a few days later for breakfast. Presentation was fantastic and the chef's vegetables with my schnitzel was an unexpected treat. My wife commented on how fresh and aesthetically pleasing her salad was and the kids all loved their meals. The sauce that came with my breakfast crepe was 5 stars. Chef clearly knows their stuff.
Great place to eat. A few veggy choices and a couple that can be adapted to be vegan. We had a very friendly waiter called Will. Would definitely dine there again if I returned to Canmore.
