La Belle Patate - Canmore

Break away from the downtown core for this little gem. The food here is outstanding and the service matches it. We had the smoked meat sandwich (worth the money - it's LOADED with meat) and the poutine. It was outstanding. I'm not sure this should be on the cheap eats side of restaurants - it was mid range.

My Husband, myself and 2 dogs visited Canmore on a whim. Eventually time came to eat but we really wanted a place where dogs were welcome on the patio. LA Belle Patate came up as recommended so we went. It was great to see others relaxing outside at the picnic tables with their pooches. And the food was good! We came to find out it is ranked one of the best in Canmore. I huge selection of poutine and fresh burgers. Slightly pricey, however,it's Canmore. Would definitely go back!

If you are a Montrealer you can really get this place. If you aren't you have an experience that awaits you. Trust me, I know. For those 98% of you that have yet to try a spruce beer, you gotta give it a shot. It is like drinking a spruce tree but only better. Only better?? Yes, only better!!!! Never drank a spruce tree before? I knew you haven't. So, it is time my friends, to get in that truck of yours (I knew you owned a truck!) and get out to Canmore and EAT GOOD FOOD!!!!!! All Habs fans are welcomed here.

My daughter told us about this place so we went for a drive from Calgary for the poutine.We ordered steamed hot dogs ("steamies") and of course we ordered the Traditional Poutine and it was excellent. This is definitely going to be a place to visit again. There is lots more to choose from like the Montreal Smoked meat sandwich which also looked great. Will probably try that next visit.

We ate here more that once during the week that we visited in Canmore. This was our first trip into Canada from the States, and our first time to try poutine. We loved the deluxe version with all of the extra stuff on top. We also tried the steamies - they were very good too. You can't go wrong here - it's all delicious!
