Batifol - Cambridge

The duck and beef dishes were excellent. So was the onion soup. Wait staff were very attentive. Will be back soon.

The appetizers (French onion soup and Chicon salad) were delicious. We were very disappointed in the Gratin Dauphinoise, it was unrecognizable as the creamy, hearty dish that we make and have experienced in France and Belgium. There was a tiny rectangle of somewhat flavorless shredded potato and a dry cracker-like piece that I suppose had some cheese flavor. We were sure that the waiter had brought the wrong order, but that was not the case. The coq au vin was tasty but not special.

Great food and ambience. Service good- our server was informed and friendly and efficient.

Overall enjoyable dinner. We had the cheese board, onion soup, escargot, steak frite, and risotto. We look forward to returning
