Fred's ran the concessions at the huge Southern Shootout softball tournament this Easter weekend and they were absolutely amazing! Polite wonderful people, their son Micah was the absolute most polite and helpful young man ever! Great food great people great service! Will definitely eat there again next time I visit Birmingham! Thanks guys you're the best!

Placed an order for a slab of ribs, beef brisket smoked corn and sides for the 4th of July came to pick it up and had a great family welcoming environment. Order was correct and food was fresh. When your mom tells you that the food taste like it did a long time ago when she was growing up and I hit the jackpot you know it's serious. I went to school with Fred and he is truly exemplifying family, entrepreneurship and quality. Will be there again, thanks for the experience. Side note (I wish I would eat full moon when Fred has Fred's Small time Bar-B-Q!!!! support

This place is an AWESOME family owned joint. We always like to try a new BBQ place on vacation and stopped here on a trip home from the gulf after reading reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor. My parents had the brisket sandwich, which they said was fantastic and so were the sides...we tried the potato salad, cole slaw and baked beans. My husband and I split the four spare rib plate. Hands down, best BBQ spare ribs we've ever had, not to mention Fred and his family who were some of the nicest people we've ever met. If six stars were an option, we'd give this place six stars...too bad the ratings only go up to five...you definitely wanna try this place!
