Tortas El Champions - Rico Suave

I have got to say this Torta was amazing it has a lot of ingredients but with one its a complete meal, I finished one and I was full 100% If you go there order one of the Regiomontana a specailty of Tortas el Campion

This place is great! Right in town with a big parking lot right next to it. The setup is simple with plastic tables and chairs. They have seating outside against the sidewalk where you can see them make the smoothies, juices and fruit bowls to order. They also had seating inside but I don’t believe it was air conditioned. The waiters were very attentive. They sat us down and took our order promptly. Getting our order took some time but it is obvious that everything is made when you order it. The breakfast plates were a bargain at 55 pesos each. The smoothies were made with fresh fruit and almost anything can me mixed into it. Eating here definitely makes you feel like a local. Apparently they also deliver as there guys on small motorcycles taking orders out every few minutes. Overall it was a great experience. Very friendly staff, great tasting food and more than reasonable prices.

Terrible service!!! Was filled with locals and we went to grab lunch but they never waited on us. Sat at the first table closest to the counter and she saw us but ignored us for 15 minutes until we left. She even took the order of two worker guys that came in way after us and weren’t even ready to order. Stay away if that’s how they treat tourist.

I have driven past Rico Suave Tortas El Champions for many years without stopping to enjoy the food. It is a very basic restaurant. They serve natural fruit drinks, tortas, Burritos, Salads, Sandwiches, Hamburgers, and eggs. Open for breakfast, lunch dinner. 7:00 AM 9:00 PM. Very good !! I had the Hawaiana Totas Special. It was 2 means in one. Had to cut in half and take half home. Only $75 Pesos. You can't go wrong...

I tried Tortas el Champion for the first time after my wife the previous day had a decent visit. My favorite Mexican breakfast is Chilaquiles. Since I am difficult at best to please with this plate I asked to first try the sauce. I can’t stand the Chicken Bullion powder which was overpowering so I did not order. My second choice was the Huevos Rancheros and asked which sauce and was the same so no go there. Since I am not really eating much bread or tortillas right now I ended up ordering the chicken fried steak. Came cut in pieces and completely burnt. Tried a few pieces and could not eat and asked it to be removed. The waiter did not even ask. Really? Also we were charged for the milanesa. Obviously food was in a big batch for tortas and sandwiches and not prepared to order. We were a family of 7. Some had hot cakes which were good. Others had dando he’s also no complaint. Juices and smoothies overall were pretty good. Based on service I give this place 1 star. Had to wait a long time to be waited on just for drink orders. Drinks took forever. Food took forever and not fresh and also burnt. For door probably two stars. Can’t recommend as a restaurant but maybe for smoothies or juice bar.
