The Brun Lea (wetherspoon)

The Brun Lea is a Wetherspoons pub in Burnley. It's quite a decent size and sells the wide range of cheap drinks which is synonymous with Wetherspoons. There's also a half decent menu offering cheap pub grub. The lack of music makes it difficult to create much atmosphere. Certainly during the daytimes, the Brun Lea is almost exclusively occupied by the older generation and the hard core drinkers of Burnley. On a Friday and Saturday evening it does pick up with plenty of younger people popping in for a cheap one or two before a night on the town. I still rarely venture in though as during these times it's crowded and noisy without any real buzz or atmosphere.

Wetherspoons pub in town centre, with food, cheap drinks and usually busy. Often features a DJ at weekends.
