First Choice Chinese Food - Burnaby

Cheap Tasty. I have tried many of the Chinese restaurant nearby my place and this is one the greatest chinese food that I will return! Have been here for many times and their food is always fresh and big portions. They open late and they do delivery! It's perfect for lazy people just like me: . I just ordered delivery last week, the guy said they have new menu and some promotion. So I got a free 2 litres coke by just ordering food. Sweet!!!

Fast delivery, great food, excellent service. Visited several times, and each time, everything was so perfect that I decided to finally give some praise online. I usually order the basic fried rice and noodle dishes, and they are exquisite especially at that price. Delivery arrives promptly, and no mistakes have ever been made thus far. Food is always hot and fresh, and the portions are HUGE!! GREAT value. Will definitely continue to support the restaurant.

Amazing curry. Me and Phatty were staying in the Delta on Dominion and got the hankering for Chinese.<br/ <br/ We had gone through the hotels restaurant list and had decided on one restaurant inthere, but figured we should check out Urbanspoon just incase there was a hidden gem in the area.<br/ <br/ Right on the front page we saw a review for this place and decided to compare menus. Right off the hop we saw that First Choice Chinese's prices were $1+ less than the other restaurant, so we figured we'd give them a try.<br/ <br/ We decided on:<br/ <br/ D905 Vegetarian Chow Mein<br/ D205 Dry Garlic Boneless Pork<br/ D114 Deep Fried Tofu in Peppery Salt<br/ D510 Szechuan Style Beef <br/ <br/ and for adds ons we ordered rice and a side of curry.<br/ <br/ The chow mein was the least favourite of the bunch. The noodles were good and the vegetables were great but it just seemed too dry. Still good though.<br/ <br/ Being vegetarian I did not try the meat dishes. Phatty found that the pork was very tender and well seasoned. The Szechuan style beef was delicious and had a lot of vegetables. The dish had a good mix of a variety of vegetables and the sauce was great; not too salty and just enough spice.<br/ <br/ The deep fried tofu was really neat. It was cut into triangles and had a decent layer of crust on the outside. They had a peppery salt on it but it was not spicy. The outside was really crispy and the inside was moist and soft but not mushy or runny. Phatty does not like tofu AT all but tried this dish and even had seconds (which says a lot). It also came with onions and crunchy balls of crust. <br/ <br/ Paying for rice is something we aren't use to, as nowhere in Winnipeg really charges for rice, unless its extra, but for $1.25 we got 3.5 cups of rice. <br/ <br/ The side of curry was the best menu item we ordered! It was full of flavour, not overly salty, not gritty or pasty, not thick or runny. I like hot hot currys but for one that was not hot, it sure packed some heat and made everything just that much better. <br/ <br/ We got a free 2L of pop and free delivery with the order too, which was nice of them. The whole order came to $40!

Just finished ordering from here after searching through Urban Spoon. Been disappointed with most places so far, but after ordering from here I've found my fav! The gentleman that took my delivery order was super nice and polite. Tried the Beef and Broccoli, beef chow mein, pineapple chicken balls and the vegetetarian egg rolls. The delivery was made by yet another super sweet and nice delivery guy, and the portions were huge! All of the food was fresh, tasty and incredible! All for 30.63 taxes in! Great value, tastes amazing and super friendly staff! Definitely ordering from here again! Thanks First Choice!
