Arisu Authentic Korean Bbq - Burnaby

Everything at this restaurant is excellent, but finding a parking spot can be a bit of a challenge. The food is delicious, particularly the well-marinated meat which is tender and juicy. The grill is made of steel, not cast iron or a special surface, so sugars from the marinades tend to burn and stick to the grill. This is something I dislike, even though the waitstaff frequently changed it.

We tried the surf and turf combo at Arisu and it was absolutely incredible. The meat was delicious and the seafood was top-notch. The side dishes were also very tasty, and they offer free refills. Unlike most restaurants, they don't check on you regularly, so you have to press the service button for assistance. However, the service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend Arisu if you're looking for food quality comparable to other high-end Korean BBQ restaurants like Kook.

Our Korean dining experience was pleasant. The side dishes were delicious, however, we were not served any rice. We were unsure if rice was included with the meal, but were surprised that it was not provided at an Asian restaurant. The air circulation was good and the prices were reasonable. The attentive waitstaff regularly changed the grill to prevent a messy dining experience, which was a nice touch.

This place is located in the busy North Road area, it’s a really busy location, but honestly there is a better option in the same complex. The quality of meat for the price point you pay is not quite worth it.The good thing is the size of the place means you usually don’t need to wait too long if you get there early. The service is also top notch, which helps.Overall if you’re looking for Korean BBQ, I would suggest another location as you can get more for the price point. Otherwise it’s a decent spot for a quick bite and hang out.

Had a great experience the first time I went here with my bf but the second time we went our waitress was really rude and kept taking the food off of our plates to cook it herself even though we were already doing that! We thought it was so she could take the dirty plates back but she just left them there?? She kept coming back and touching our food and not even talking to us. The food was great don't get me wrong the first time we went it was great and we had a young waitress but this time the old lady was rude so we won't be going back anymore.
