Bidrage med feedbackIf you're looking for an Italian joint, this is it. Had the calzone that was huge by my account. It was good and plenty of things on the menu besides pizza type meals. Will stop in again when the urge strikes. It'll have to be with the guys though since the wife has celiac!
I hate leaving bad reviews but this one is deserved. There were a total of 3 customers in the restaurant (including me) and It took 40 minutes to get a small square of lasagna from the kitchen to my table. Once I asked how much longer it would take to get my order, it was apparent that the waitress forgot to get the lasagna in the oven . She made the comment that dinner orders take longer and that the lasagna takes longer to heat all the way through because it was so thick . She then proceeded to change her story and said oh, and there were orders ahead of mine. Again, their were 2 other customers and they received their spaghetti and meat plate(s), ate it all, finished their drinks and left before I even asked how much longer? On to the good part.... The sauce was bubbly around the edges but the slice of cheese they placed on top of their huge stack (not) of lasagna was barely melting. As I suspected, I dug into the middle of the pasta and it was barely warm if not outright cold. I was so disgusted by their lack of caring, that I stood up and left the $20.00 plate of cold noodles on the table. There are way too many other choices nearby to settle for bad service and cold food. I won 't be back.
We frequent Original since we live nearby. We do both take out and eat in. Sadly, take out is NEVER a good option. Today we were told that the order would be ready in 45 min- 1 hour. It took 1hr and 40 minutes. While I was given several explanations as to why, it really does not hold well with me. This is probably the 4th time we have had this experience with take out. As much as we love the pizza, it may be time to try and find a new place to get take out pizza.
This is our go to pizza place! They have 18 inch pizzas, which is perfect for our big family. The staff is really amazing and work hard, especially during their rushes.
I'm from Illinois. A friend of the owners highly recommended that I try the food here when I came to Colorado to visit my mom. I said sure and offered to write a review. That was in June 2022 and my review is long overdue! ?The atmosphere is amazing! You step inside and you feel like you have been transported to another place entirely! (I New York! It is a quaint family-owned, mom-and-pop type restaurant. The main room features a huge oven that they use to cook your food! There are some arcade games and signage that make it welcoming and unique. The side room appears to be set up for fine dining in the evening, with a variety of wines available. When we were there, it seemed like lunch was set up more for a grab-and-go type experience. We hit the end of lunch, but the family was gracious enough to let us sit at a table to enjoy our meal.It was a delightful experience! I had the Stromboli lunch special. It was excellent! I had never had Stromboli with sauce on the side for dipping. Super yummy! As we left, I also noticed fresh produce and seasonings being grown right outside the door in planters. What a great idea to keep meals fresh! In my opinion, they would have excellent results if they were to do a food truck. Set it up with those select lunch menu items for a grab-and-go type meal! It's a bit out of a drive, but I look forward to returning the next time I'm in Colorado! My mom feels better when she eats gluten-free, so I think next time we will plan to get the gluten-free pizza!*The menu and some information may be out-of-date due to the delay in posting this review.*Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free pizza!Parking: Large parking space with fun and iconic parking spot signs.Kid-friendliness: Excellent place to bring kids!Wheelchair accessibility: A floor-level building with easily accessible handicap parking should make it a breeze for those with limited mobility to visit!
