The Clive Arms - Bromfield

The front of house staff are friendly and efficient. They set the tone for the evening which was excellent. The food was very good- imaginative and well presented. Our dog was also made welcome.

We reserved a table for 2 accompanied by our dog. A table in the bar area was allocated and a very short Bar Menu| was offered. The server recommended the Butcher 's Steak which I found tough if moderately tasty. My wife had fish anf chips which was a basic plate of food. We were quite early starting our meal and the bar ares was relatively quiet. However by 8pm it had filled-up quite significantly and noise levels went up, and service quality quickly worsened. Not an experience to be repeated.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. The food was very fresh and there was a good range to choose from. The staff were attentive without being overbearing.

We had dinner tonight to celebrate our 20-year anniversary. the meal and the service were both excellent. my seabrassen was faultless and my man really enjoyed his steak. warm gratitude to the new cook! well done!

Very good restaurant. slightly expensive, but they get what they pay. decent local ales on the hand pump. very nice staff too. Unfortunately, the restaurant part of the pub seems to have terrible acoustics, and all we could hear were the other tables instead of our own party.
