Bidrage med feedbackVisited this cafe twice whilst staying in Haworth overnight due to a trip on the Flying Scotsman at the steam railway. Enjoyed a good quality takeaway coffee with oat milk and then next morning we visited again for breakfast. We were staying at a local AirBnB which we had to vacate by 10am so the 8am opening time made it a relaxing morning, knowing cafes often don’t open until 9am or later at weekends. Whilst the cafe was busy due to the Flying Scotsman weekend (good business for them! we didn’t mind waiting and soaking up the world going by from one of the pavement tables. The butties when they arrived one bacon and egg, one bacon, sausage and tomato were very good quality and tasty. And reasonable value too.
I’ve been coming to this cafe a few years no and I can not believe it has taken me this long to discover their wonderful chips… hand made, chunky as you like, perfectly cooked and a ideal accompaniment to the beef chilli. What can I say but thanks! If you visit Haworth and your looking for something tasty, locally sourced and value for money then the best by far is the buffet car! (Opposite Haworth train station.
Yet another visit to this wonderful gem of a cafe!! The food has been consistently good every time I’ve visited. Brought my mum and dad this time… on entering we were greeted with a warm welcoming smile by a very polite young lady, and we were seated inside. We all ordered breakfast and what a breakfast it was.. all the produce was quality and not wholesale rubbish. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to our next visit.. thank you buffet car.
Me and my wife are vegans. I had the vegan breakfast for 7.85 or 8.85 which came with a coffee. My wife had a vegan sausage bap with onions(not barm cake , btw). The breakfast came with 2 lovely sausages, 3 hash browns, beans, toms, mushrooms and two slices of lovely real bread. It was piping hot, perfectly presented. My wife was similarly impressed with her bap. No complaints. Coffee was great and oat milk provided. The place itself is tiny and only 6 or 7 people can sit in, but it 's well worth a trip. A lot of the places in Haworth are pricey and a bit poncey(sorry) but the Buffet Car is a hidden gem!
Had a day on the KWVR and popped in early for a coffee. The breakfast looked so good calling back later seemed like a plan. A good move as it’s impossible to fault the quality or quantity of what we had. The care taken is reflected in the toast, two slices. Not just sliced bread but proper thick cut bloomer. Quality.
